Interestingly, yeast Shq1p also caused growth suppression in mammaliancells.Consistentwithitsgrowth-suppressiveproperty,GRIM-1expressionislostinanumberofhumanprimary prostatetumors.OurobservationssupportarecentstudythatGRIM-1mightactasaco-tumorsuppressorintheprostate.
