Abstract: This paper believes that higher vocational and technical education is different from regular higher education, this difference is mainly reflected in personnel training mode; higher vocational and technical education in the basic characteristics can be summarized as occupational, applied and practical. Based on this, the article discusses the study of higher vocational and technical education in the training objectives, training methods, professional settings, teaching content, teaching methods, teaching focus, teacher requirements, assessment requirements, and other school personnel form the various elements of the training model as opposed to existence of regular higher education significantly different; make higher vocational and technical education personnel training with the application of high-level talent, knowledge and capacity of vocational, application-oriented talents and skills of the technical nature of the diversity of means of personnel training and so on.

Under the guidance of national policy, higher vocational and technical education has become promoting China’s development of higher education, one of the major forces. As we all know, higher vocational and technical education is different from regular higher education, this difference is mainly reflected in personnel training patterns.
