Of these, squamous cell carcinoma antigen 1 (SCCA1), also known as a SERPINB3, was first identified in squamous cell carcinoma tissuefromthecervixofwomen.However,thereislittleknownabouttheSERPINB3expressioninhumanepithelialovarian cancer(EOC).Therefore,inthepresentstudy,weinvestigatedthefunctionalroleofSERPINB3geneinhumanEOCusing chickens,themostrelevantanimalmodel.In136chickens,EOCwasfoundin10(7.4%).SERPINB3mRNAwasinducedin cancerous,butnotnormalovariesofchickens(P,0.01),anditwasabundantonlyintheglandularepitheliumofcancerous ovariesofchickens.Further,severalmicroRNAs,specificallymiR-101,miR-1668andmiR-1681werediscoveredtoinfluence SERPINB3 expression via its 39-UTR which suggests that post-transcriptional regulation influences SERPINB3 expression in chickens.SERPINB3proteinwaslocalizedpredominantlytotheglandularepitheliuminc
