A Red, Red Rose 汉译对比赏析 　　【摘要】这首诗是诗人流传最广的一首诗,出自诗人的《主要用苏格兰方言写的诗集》。诗人在诗中歌颂了恋人的美丽,表达了诗人的炽热感情和对爱情的坚定决心。本文以翻译理论为指导,比较分析该诗的两个汉译版本,以此来阐释翻译诗歌时应该注意的问题。 　　【关键词】诗歌翻译;对比分析;意韵传达 　　 　　Ⅰ Introduction 　　英汉作为截然不同的两种语言表现形式,给翻译工作者带来了不少棘手的问题。诗歌翻译无疑是艰难翻译事业中的一个难点。一首诗歌的长久流传,不仅仅是因为其中美妙动听的韵律,还因为诗歌中所蕴含的深远含义。所以诗歌的翻译注定要兼顾二者,不能因意害韵,也不可因韵害意。这里通过比较分析彭斯这首诗的两个汉译版本来探讨诗歌翻译中的问题,在翻译实践中如何把握好这个度。以下是这首诗的两个汉译版本。 　　Ⅱ ST Extrinsic and Intrinsic Study 　　A Red, Red Rose has been ever considered as one of the best short lyrics created by him. The poet succeeded in using simple, precise language to express his genuine love to his lover and his simple and pure love to philosophy: unselfishness, happy and smooth companionship. His treatment of time and beauty and using of free and musical metrical pattern in the poem predicts the work of the later Romantic poets, who took Burns’s works as an important influence. 　　The theme of A Red, Red Rose is the praise of love. Burns is leaving his love and intends to reassure her of his fidelity and love for her in his absence. The form of the poem is consisted of two parts: the metrical pattern and the structure. The metrical pattern of the poem is called ballad form. Each stanza is consisted of four lines, with four stressed syllables in the odd-numbered lines and three stressed syllables in the even-numbered lines, with rhymes occurring on the even-numbered lines. The rhyme scheme is xaxa, xbxb, xcxc, xdxd. The structure of this poem is simple. The first three stanzas of the poems are about the poet’s deep love for his lover. He is telling all how much he loves her. Then the last stanza is about the influence of time and space on this pure love. The style of the poem is simple, spontaneous and romantic. It is full of Scottish dialect and folk language and abbreviation. 　　Ⅳ The Analysis of TT1 　　总的来说,TT1在内容、形式、风格和艺术技巧上都成功地再现了原文。 在翻译技巧方面,意韵兼顾,复踏“红红”、“甜甜”、“合拍又和谐”以顶针译顶针。此外,在处理韵脚“xaxa, xbxb, xcxc, xdxd”时, 也是在最大程度上忠实于原文。其中更有点睛之笔,即以“纵使大海干涸水流尽, 太阳将岩石烧作灰尘”来回避“海枯石烂”,一时传为译坛佳
