Casepresentation:Afteraccidentalingestionoftosylchloramideacaucasian77-year-oldwoman,withafamily historyofcardiovasculardiseaseandhypertension,wasadmittedtotheintensivecareunitfollowingepisodesof torsadesdepointeswithaprolongedQT/QTcinterval(640/542ms).Thepatientreceivedanimplantable cardioverter-defibrillator,wasdischargedfromthehospitalwithnormalQT/QTcintervalanddidnotexperience additionalventriculararrhythmiasduringoneyearoffollow-up. Conclusion:Thisisthefirstreportconcerninganunusualcaseoftorsadesdepointesafteraccidentalintoxication byingestionoftosylchloramide.Thepronouncedimpactoftheoxidyzingagenttosylchloramideontheactivityof someoftheionchannelsregulatingtheQTintervalwasidentifiedasaprobablecauseofthearrhythmia.
