The study shows that Ming and Qing imperial clothing system has innovation and development in pattern shape , composition , color and technical expression on the basis of culture of trad itional Han imperial clothing system and reveals the development and continuity of trad itional Chinese imperial clothing system. T his research achievement indicates the commonality and olherness of Qing imperial silk clothing and helps peop le understand features , differences and similarities of imperial silk clothing palterns in the two periods.
