Abstract
Manyarcticmammalsareadaptedtoliveyear-roundinextremeenvironmentswithlowwintertemperaturesand
greatseasonalvariationsinkeyvariables(e.g.sunlight,food,temperature,moisture).Theinteractionbetweenhosts
andpathogensinhighnorthernlatitudesisnotverywellunderstoodwithrespecttointra-annualcycles(seasons).
