Abstract
Eczemaisachronicrelapsingatopicdermatitis(AD)associatedwithpruritus,sleepdisturbanceandpoorqualityof
lifeofthepatient.Treatmentofeczemaincludesuseofemollient,topicalandsystemicantimicrobialagents,
corticosteroidorimmunomodulatingagents.Manypatientsalsoseekalternativetreatmentssuchasdietary
avoidance,supplementationorboth.Thisarticlereviewsthebasicpathophysiologyofeczemaandclinicaltrials
