The re search on digital m u ltim edia foren sics is importan t to en sure the credib ility of digital mu ltim edia data. U sing digital im age foren sics a s an examp le, the au thors reviewed the current digital mu ltim edia foren sic s techn ique s from the five a sp ects, including tamp er detection, sou rce device iden tification, authen ticity verification, device component foren sic s, and the reliab ility of digital m u ltim edia foren sics. The au thors focu sed on introducing typ ical algorithm s, and m eanwh ile, po in ted out the m ain p rob lem s in the cu rrent re search and sugge sted the urgen t top ic s for the fu tu re research.
