Materialsandmethods:Elevenangularandthreeindexmeasurementsfromlateralencephalographsandtwo linearmeasurementsfromdentalblastercastswerecalculated.Alldatawasstatisticallyanalyzed,parameterswithp 5%wereinvestigatedforeachsubgrouprespectively. Results:Incomparisonwithstandardsthestudygroupshowedbimaxillaryretrognathismandareductionofthe loweranteriorfacialheight.Moreoverbothoverbiteandoverjetsignificantlyincreased.Othervalueslaidwithinthe normalranges.Evaluatingresultsofthesubgroups,differencesinthemeansofSNA,SNBandoverjetbetweenthe groupswereobserved. Analysisofthemandibulargrowthpatternrevealed,thatneitherverticalnorhorizontalpatternsaredominantin hypodontiapatients. Conclusions:Incertaindentofacialparametersdifferencesbetweenpersonswithhypodontiaandsuchwithfull dentitionexist.Accordingtoourfindingsageneticteethmayhaveanegativeinfluenceonthesaggital developmentofajawandthelowerfaceandmayberesponsibleforincreasedoverbites.Thisshouldreceive attentioninorthodontictreatmentofhypodontiapatients.
