Abstract: With the college English teaching reform in the overall promotion of our school, students have more and more time self-learning how to exploit them effectively to cope with the challenges of knowledge-based economy, English self-study methods and their effects become increasingly significant . Unfortunately, most of the students of English self-study, due to improper methods, more or less the existence of one kind or another are difficult to resolve the issue, leading to ineffective, and some even give up. Pairs of English listening, speaking, reading and writing four aspects of self-learning method to explore the innovative nature, designed to help students learn to add their own fun, fast-improving English.

0 Introduction
Beginning in 2002, the Ministry of Education began the status quo and reform of college English teaching research, arrive at the current college English teaching in China’s major problems are: teaching thinking is relatively backward, mainly manifested in the failure to solve the unity and diversity of the teaching objectives contradictions, college English teaching has taken the path of a uniform; teaching mode, the relative single-and old-fashioned teaching methods, has been speaker of teachers and students passively listening, Man Tangguan blackboard chalk plus classroom teaching; teaching staff to be strengthened, in particular, the severe shortage of teachers, the general overload of work, making the arduous tasks of teaching and research capacity; oriented education still exist, in order to test and teach for the test and the learning, teaching students to ignore the multi-level foreign language learning , personalized needs and the practical application of the English language.
