(Hangzhou 310052) Abstract Tea fl owers (Camellia sinensis), initially interpreted as some kinds of waste in the tea industry chain, has been recognized with enormous value recently, and carry out development and utilization. Studies have shown that tea fl owers have anticancer, antioxidant, lipid-lowering diet and other effects. Extraction and separation of tea polysaccharide, tea polyphenols, fl avonoids, saponins and essential oils in tea fl owers were summarized, as well as physiological effects and prospects are reviewed, which provide basis for further exploration and development of tea fl owers.
