China is doing better than other countries in terms of the study of and adaptation to the new rules for gymnas- tics scoring. The advantage in our traditional advantageous events is no longer significant, while we are taking a quantum leap in our disadvantageous events. Vaulting horse performance, especially the grade A score, will be come a critical element in deciding the winners of the team event and all-round event. The author proposed that the strat- egy for medal competition in the Olympic Games should be implemented separately on the men’s and women’s teams: The targets for wining a gold medal should be set in the order of importance of team event, all-round event and individual event for the men’s team, and in the order of importance of individual ev
