Conclusions Background 背景 Microcellular injection molding (MIM) using supercritical fluid (SCF) as a physical foaming agent is one of the most promising methods for producing microcellular polymer parts. The MIM can not only produce parts with a microcellular structure under lower injection pressures, shorter cycle times and less material consumption, but also eliminate the packing stage and improve the dimensional accuracies of molded parts. 与普通注塑技术相比,采用超临界流体作为发泡剂的注塑微孔发泡技术可明显降低 注射压力、缩短成型周期、不需要保压阶段,成型的制品具有更高的比强度、形状 与尺寸精度、尺寸稳定性以及较低的收缩率和翘曲等优点。因此,注塑微孔发泡是 一种快速发展的技术。 Background 背景 Issues with surface quality — particularly bright sliver streaks and swirl marks appearing on part surfaces — have made MIM technology to be limited into applications involving interior parts. Therefore, it is necessary to improve MIM part surface quality, and thus widen their applications. Several methods, such as gas counter pressure, mold cavity passive heating, and co- injection molding technologies, have been proposed to eliminate the silver streak and swirl marks. These technologies can obviously improve the apparent quality of MIM parts. Most of these techniques, however, have some shortcomings, such as complex equipment and process, longer molding cycles, and higher production costs. Especial
