Abs tract: In th is paper, the state-of-the-art review and the research progress of the technology of the bridge vibra-
tion control are summ arized. Them ajor achievements and the recent progress in the bridge vibration control are dis-
cussed on the basis of three sides: active contro,l passive control and control algorithms. Some existing problems are
mentioned. And the d irection of the further research on bridge vibration control in the future is also pointed out.
