The south-to-north water diversion project, a massive project to benefit future generations, has been conceived since 1952 and is now being implemented after 44 years of planning and demonstration. Premier zhu emphasized that the implementation of the south-to-north water diversion project is imperative, and the key is to do a good job of overall planning, complete arrangement, and implementation of the following steps.
