The result of the study discovers that Lamp Dance is a kind of old folk sport activity for sacrificial practice in the Yao village. The sacrificial cere- mony mainly consists of drum and gong beating, rice transplanting dance, Lamp Dance, which is the highlight of the ceremony and the finishing performance of hunting dance. The dictation of the origin of Lamp Dance is the key to know its historical development at present.
