Abstract Three years has passed since the breaking of the Iraq War, yet the academic research on that has just started. The strategic planning to initiate the War had existed for a long period of time, which had gone through the periods of “deterring Iraq to topple Saddam authorities” and “attacking Iraq to topple Saddam authorities”. Due to the lack of legitimacy, the justice of the war is prevalently challenged. The US won the asymmetric war, but has caused the loss of peace in Iraq.
