The easy to understand route and exchange.
Routing and switching are two important concepts in the web world. The traditional exchange occurs on the second layer of the network, the data link layer, while the routing occurs in the third layer, the network layer. In the new network, routing intelligence and exchange performance are integrated organically, and the three layer switches and multilayer switches are heavily used in the park network. This article introduces the basic concepts of routing and exchange, which are divided into four parts: network hierarchy, exchange, routing, and full exchange zone network.
Network hierarchy
The definition of the network reference model gives a clear functional hierarchy. The most commonly mentioned is the ISO OSI reference model and TCP/IP protocol clusters.
The OSI reference model, defined by the international standardization organization, divides computer networks into seven layers of functionality, which is what we often call a seven-story model or a seven-layer structure. The immediate benefit of the network functionality layer is that these layers can be used for different levels of hardware and software developed by different manufacturers. A hierarchy of device updates or software rewrites does not affect other levels. The various levels of the TCP/IP protocol system have a general correspondence with the reference model of the ISO. Here is the picture:
At the middle of the OSI layer, the fourth layer performs the transfer function, which provides reliable data transfer from one computer to another. The Transport Layer is a Layer of the above, and below it has three layers, all related to data transmission. There are also three layers that provide the functionality associated with the web application.
Three OSI layers. The Physical Layer (Physical Layer) is responsible for the actual transmit Data signals, Data Link Layer (Data Link Layer) is responsible for the internal frame transmission Net
