A stract: The differences among several controlling methods of secondary cooling water distribu-
tion for continuous casting were analyzed. The dynamic controlling method of the online cooling
water distribution based on the target surface temperature was mainly studied, which is suited for
adapting the comple ity, the uncertainty of technology and the nonlinearity of continuous casting
process. The related controlling algorithm was put forward andthe simulation results were provided
and gives the result of simulation.
