Narrative refers to the way that a story is told. It also has the effect of encouraging the spectator to identify strongly with the character whose perspective he shares. Unrestricted It allows the audience to know more than any – or all – of the characters. It is appropriate for making suspense as it occurs when the audience is aware of a danger of which the characters themselves are unaware. It also creates a greater sense of objectivity, and suits for documentary and epic.
