T he safety factor and reliability index of these retaining w alls w ere comp ted w ith MAT LA B softw are. The design point method in the linear second-order-moment theory for str ct ral reliability analysis w as taken as the comp - tative method for reliability index. T he c rves representing the relationship betw een safety factor for anti- overt rn and ant-i slide and the reliability index w as plotted. It was show n by the fig res that the reliability index increased w ith its corresponding safety factor.
