There are seven main problems that existed in the serum pharmacology. As follows: 1 No best definitive method of administration. 2 No way to maintain the drug concentration in the medium equaled to it in blood and not to affect the growth of the tissues or cells cultured. 3 Hard to determine the best time getting the drug serum had the highest effects. 4 Serum, contained drugs, inactivated or not was not coincidence. 5 Complicated serum component and too many affecting facts resulted that the same experiment had different results. 6 Active substance in serum itself affects experiment results. 7 Serum pharmacology increased the difficulties analyzing herb chemistry component. Therefore serum pharmacology was not suitable for pharmacology research of the Traditional Chinese medicine in vitro.
