Module7 Time off Unit2 Ling ling’s uncle told us not to worry ---Chen Wei （Sunshine Middle School） Analysis of the teaching material This is the seventh module of Book IV. The main topic is traveling and time off. Unit2 is a passage mainly about the trip to Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area. It presents the descriptions of sightseeing, travel experience and environment protection by Sally’s letter. Based on the grammar learnt in Unit 1, students need to experience the practical use of objective clause in the passage! Analysis of students Students have already learnt objective clause for some time and they are able to express their thoughts. They also have some certain reading skills. On the other hand, they are interested in the topic; they will have something to say. They need to have a further understanding of an English passage. Teaching objectives A. Knowledge objectives. a. Students can learn the useful words and phrases about trip; Rock, soldiers, area, wake up, tent, view, top, path, plant, pull… b. Students are able to report other people’s words and theirs. Know the difference between English and Chinese letter patterns. Teaching key and difficult points. The key points of this lesson lie in some mini skills of reading and writing and the strategy of learning words as well.
