This part is very important in this unit, because it’s the beginning of this unit and we can get the main language goals for this unit veryeasily in it. And the students can improve their mixture abilities. 1. Teaching goals: (1). Knowledge goals: a. Topic: Talk about the room b. Vocabulary: where, table, bed, dresser, bookcase, sofa, chair, drawer, plant, in, on, under, they, they’re=they are c. Structure: where’s… It’s in /on/ under… Where are…. They’re in /on/under…. d. Functions: Ss are able to talk about where the things are. (2). ) Abilities goals: Four skills mainly listening and speaking. (3). Emotion goals: a. Make students have interest and the desire of learning English. b. Learn to put away their things and to form a good habit. 2. Difficult and important points: New words: where, in, on, under, table, bed, dresser, bookcase, sofa, chair, drawer, plant, they, they’re=they are Structure: Where’s… It’s in /on/ under… Where are…. We have learned how to talk about ownership in unit 2. And we’ve learned the names for family members and practiced introducing family members in Unit 3. My Ss are poor but they study hard.
