The leachin thermodynamics and kinetics of cadmium and nickel in the waste batteries were invest-i ated. The results show that cadmium and nickel assume different leachin thermodynamics and kinetics in the w aste batteries. Cadmium and nickel in the waste batteries can leached selectively at different temperature and H SO concentration. T his process leads to the nearly complete separation of cadmium from nickel in the 2 4 leachin sta e. Electrolysis and CdCO precipitation technolo y w ere investi ated to recover cadmium from cad- 3 mium-rich leach solution.
