Evaluation background:
For a long time, means of evaluation we also remain in the examination and test, with little regard to the comprehensive evaluation method of the diversity and evaluation function, and usually the synonym evaluation as pen and paper test; and only pay attention to teaching evaluation after the learning results of students, the scores of students as the only quantitative criteria for evaluation. In fact, many of the expected behaviors in foreign language education goals are difficult to evaluate by paper and pen tests. However, this evaluation style occupies an absolute dominant position in the current foreign language education in china.
The Ministry of Education promulgated the new English curriculum standard and basic requirements of English teaching evaluation of students clearly pointed out: the development process of the focus on students comprehensive ability should be based on the principle of formative evaluation, the students participate in various English teaching activities expressed interest, attitude and communication skills. The final or school year examination may be conducted by means of oral and written tests. Its purpose is to promote the development of students. The evaluation of English curriculum should reflect the diversity of evaluation subjects and the diversity of evaluation forms. Evaluate the effect of learning so as to achieve harmony and unity between the process of learning and the evaluation of the result of study. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out reform experiments on students learning evaluation, establish diversity and selectivity, pay attention to individual differences of students, and better reflect the evaluation model of human centered.
