大学教育的意义和目的(国外英文资料) The significance and purpose of university education This is a speech by Professor Andrew Abbott at the opening ceremony of University of Chicago The Universitys reputation and admission rate have an independent impact on students future income, but most of the income gap occurs within the University, that is, within a college graduate. The inner gap depends on personal factors such as talent, resources, grades, and expertise, where personal effort is critical. The real drivers of success and the causes of the income gap are occupations. Not so much a college education gives you a specific, professional knowledge, rather than a general skill that will benefit you throughout your life.
