I. Objectives
1. To recognize a range of adjectives describing feelings of likes
2. To differentiate meanings between a range of semantically related words.
3.To use appropriate adjectives to describe feelings.
Ⅱ. Preparation
Prepare some pictures of Zhou Xingchi and review the expressions we learned for describing feelings of his likes and dislikes.
Ⅲ. Suggestions
Step1. Show the Ss a picture about the pop film star Zhou Xingchi. He is very familiar to the Ss.
Show a picture of Zhou Xingchi. Ask :Do you like him? Why do you like him? Present: What is he crazy about?
He is crazy about films. Except he is crazy about films
What is he fond of? 呈现:be fond of, be afraid of, angry, frightened, surprised, happy, sad, unhappy.
Step2 Presentation and practice
1. Tell the students to look at the table in Park A. Find out what Simon and his friends like and dislike and how strongly they feel about these things.
2. Ask each students to tell his / her partner how strongly he / she feels about football, dogs, music, fish, food, basketball and so on.
3.Remind them to use the expressions “like”, “be fond of”, “love”, “be crazy about”, “dislike” and “hate”.
4. Say out their partners’ feelings.
Step3 Learn to run
1. From animals, sports, food and carton films, let Ss discuss their like and dislike.
