Abs tract: Cataract surgery is now often referred to as refractive surgery. It has com e into the focus in
recent years to choose the intraocular lens of appropriate pow er so as to ach ieve the expected postoperative
refraction. Two main factors influence the measurement of intraocu lar lens pow er ( IOL), the IOL pow er
calculation formula and biologicalmeasurement of the ocu lar. The achievement of expected surgical ou-t
come depends on the selection of the IOL pow er calculation formula and biological measurement instru-
ment that su it the intraocu lar lens the specific patient. The article presents an overview of IOL pow er ca-l
culationw ith a focus on the above tw o aspects.
