The article begins w ith a general review of the evolution of the human subject in the light of the Renaissance humanism and the Enlightenment rationalization of reason and subjective freedom. Focuses are made hence - , - on the anti authorial arguments by the major New Critical t he struct uralist and post strurctualist figures in the critical scene.
