Movie Delhi--6 After having finished the moive: Delhi-6, we can see that there are at least two kinds of religious phenomena. First, we all know that the Indians take the cattle as their Nandi. They respect and worship them surpassing anything. Unlike other countries, it is very common to see a cow walking here and there on Indian street. There are many funny things about Nandi. For example, when coming across a Nandi on the street, the cars must make way for it, and if a Nandi is eating the goods along the two sides of street, the sellers regard it as their honor instead of scolding or driving it away. In the movie, when Roshan’s grandmother gets sick and must be taken to the hospital right away, they happen to meet a cow which is giving birth to baby cow on the street. It is too crowed to get through. In our eyes, human’s life is much more valuable than anything else. However, the Nandi does not make way for the ambulance until the baby cow coming out. Another religious conflict is between Hinduism and Muslim. Since antiquity, the rulers have taken religion seriously. Nowadays, problems of religion are still an outstanding problem among many countries. If the government wants to stabilize society, it must deal with religious conflict. Hinduism – Muslim conflict has a long history which can date back British colonial policy. In the movie, it talks about a community of Hinduism. People living there are very happy, and they are very kind and warm hearted. However, there appears a black monkey which causes a lot of troubles for the Indians. Finally, people there think it must a monkey turned from Muslim. They resent it just like a Muslim. Many measures are taken to catch and kill it. Since this outrageous black monkey has caused an intense panic among people and even let them kill each other, the hero-Roshan, disguises himself as a black monkey.
