T he result indicated that the variations of 4 characters w ere obvious. T he avera e coeffi cient of variation r eaches 35. 88, w hich had reflected the Chinese pumpkin enetic resources are abun dant . The correlation betw een the fruit w ei ht and the yield w as extr emely remarkable ( r = 0. 5574) . But the inverse correlation betw een the fruit soluble solid content and the fruit w ei ht w as remarka ble, as w ell as the inverse correlation betw een the fruit soluble solid content and the y ield. The corre lation coefficients w er e - 0. 3872 and - 0. 3142 respectively . T he correlation betw een the fruit shape index and the fruit w ei ht, soluble solid content, yield w ere not remarkable.
