Comp ar ed w ith conventional r ice, hy brid rice com bin ations h ad m u ch larger panicles, h eavier 1000-g rain w eight , hig her econom ic index , longer duration o grain illing, h igh er p ercent age o assim ilate distribution to grain, resulting in an average yield increase o 7. 27 percent.
