W ith the ad vancem en t in m icro su rgery and regional anatom y, w ide app lication of den tal imp lan ts, distraction o steogene sis, CAD / CAM , rap id p rototyp ing, the re storative quality after re section of oral and m axillofacial tumors ha s been greatly im p roved, e sp ecially in the rehab ilitation of oral and m axillofacial con tou r, bu t m uch ha s to be done in dynam ic m yo functional recon struction , sen sory recon struction , sp eech and deglu tition recon struction. Th is p ap er discu sse s the up todate statu s and p rogre ss trend in oral and m axillofacial recon struction after ab lative tumor su rgery in concern w ith m a stication , swallow ing, sp eech and sen sation.
