Theme-related Activities Following is the script of the video clip: Hofstra University has 13 dining establishments located around the campus, each with its own flare. The Student Center, located on the North Campus, houses 4 of our 13 dining facilities, also in the Student Center, a post office and the Hofstra University Bookstore. Public Safety offers a variety of services, such as retrieving keys from locked vehicles and escorting students to their cars or residential hall after dark. With 24-hour security every day of the week, the Hofstra Campus is a comfortable and secure place to live and learn. Hofstra is very concerned about the quality of life of our students. There are many different types of residential environments from which to choose, all with the choices of single, double, triple, and suites, and each floor has a residential assistant. Hofstra’s libraries contain over 1.6 million volumes on campus. All search and retrieval is completely computerized. Each of our students has full connectivity to Hofstra’s network and the Internet via high-speed connection from every area of the campus, including the residence halls. Students receive free e-mail and their own network account with free storage space to save papers, research, or even to create their own website. Students may also choose to have Hofstra host their website. Our students can download course information, assignment changes and corrections, check grades, submit coursework, and communicate with their instructors all online. There are more than 32 computer labs on campus exclusively for student use, including one which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Hofstra students also have access to more than 140 popular applications with free training and certification in various operating systems. For the convenience of our resident students, we provide computer support and on-site service calls for desktop computers and carry-in service for laptops. Theme-related Activities
