第8章基因突变与人工创造突变体发学生

* Much of what we know about the zygotic genes that regulate development comes from a mutagenic analysis performed by Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard and Eric Wieschaus, who systematically screened for mutations that affect embryonic development. In a paper published in 1980, they proposed a model in which embryonic development is initiated by gradients of maternal-effect gene products. The positional information laid down by these molecular gradients along the anterior-posterior axis of the embryo is interpreted by two sets of zygotic genes.
