Investigate why some learners are successful in learning English 1. Introduction English is one of the complicated and practical subjects in China. In order to master English, learners not only need to master some certain knowledge of pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, but also need to practice more in listening, speaking, reading, writing so that they own a better skill in learning English. However, English learners can be classified into successful learners and unsuccessful learners at some same circumstance, such as learning content, teacher, starting point. Why some learners can succeed in English learning while others fail? What cause the successful learners and unsuccessful learners in English? Successful learners and unsuccessful learners have the same intelligence, the same physical condition which can make them have the same learning ability. There must be some reasons that some learners can be successful in English learning. If we can make a deep investigation about how the successful learners study English, it will be of great importance for us to help those unsuccessful English learners improve their English by telling them the learning strategies of those successful learners. Of course, the factors that influence English learning are not only learning strategies, English learning is also influenced by environment, study motivation, feeling, impetus, and attitude. My essay will make a profound investigation about why some learners are successful in learning English so that improve both teachers’ teaching and students’ learning. 2. Body As mentioned in the introduction part, the reasons why some learners are successful in learning English can be classified into different kinds from different aspects. Now we will make a deep analysis about reasons why some learners are successful in learning English. 2.1 External and objective factors As we all know, whether the learners are successful or not in English learning is influenced not only by external and
