曲阜 Qufu was among the first 24 historic cities declared by Chinese government. The temple of Confucius ,the Kong Family Mansion and the Cemetery of Confucius were included in the World Cultural Heritage List ,and were awarded National 5A Scenic spot in China . 曲阜市全国首批二十四座历史文化名城之一，孔庙、孔府、孔林荣登世界文化遗产目录，国家5A级景区。 Qufu boasts of 184 officially protected monuments and sites ,its unbroken cultural continuity make the small city unparallel in China and even in the world . 曲阜正南门，古时只有皇帝及钦差大臣来曲阜祭孔时，此门才开。“万仞宫墙”四字为清乾隆帝所书。 The south gate of Qufu was only opened when the Emperor and Imperial envoy came to The Residence of the Confucius ,”Gate of Respecting the Saint “was written by Qianlong Emperor.
