A b stract
The International B oard of E ducation of the 2 1st century subm itted to a report to
U N E SC O that learning to cooperate should be regarded as one of the four pillars of the 2 1st
century. T he report em phasizes that ”education should set aside sufficient tim e and
opportunity in its program s to young people to teach this kind of cooperation projects.
Therefore,in school education, stim ulating the m otivation of the students ’cooperation and
fostering cooperation w ith others has becom e requirem ents for schools in an era of
progressive and social developm ent. A nd it w ill also becom e an im portant subject for
educators to continu e exploring.
T his paper defines the concepts of cooperative learning, high school arts students and
teaching styles, and it gives a literature review on cooperative learning at hom e and abroad,its
developm ent and its theoretical basis. T he w riter has found that cooperative learning is w idely
u sed as a strategy system and teaching theory of rich creativity and effectiveness in m any
countries in the w orld. C ooperative learning has a history of developm ent and research for
decades, and its practice spreads around m any countries and regions in the w orld. In this
paper, based on the analysis of the psychological characteristics of the high school arts
students and learning ab ility of m athem atics learning, six teaching strategies and three
teaching styles are put forw ard to carry out cooperative learning in m athem atics teaching in
high school. T he w riter has chosen tw o liberal arts classes in a key high school as the test
objects, and drew conclusions by m eans of teaching observation, questionnaires, interview s,
testing and other m ethods of em pirical research. Form s of cooperative learning are new and
varied, w hich give students a pleasant atm osphere to learn. The
