In order to learn English well, we must lay a solid foundation at the entry stage of learning English. The quality of English teaching is directly related to the overall success or failure of the beginning of English teaching, which will have a profound impact on students’ learning and living. Therefore, in this paper, the author explores the strategies of English teaching for beginners, commencing with the reorganization of the importance of this stage of teaching to improve the efficiency of English teaching to lay a solid foundation for students’ further learning. The importance of English teaching for beginners mainly manifests in guiding students to know the English language in its characteristics and functions, to make students learn English more effectively.
