The se bam boo s are obviou sly differen t from common bamboo due to their lianelike shap e and sp ecif ic b io logical featu re s. The bamboo is greatly valuab le in ornam en tation and horticu ltu re. So far 40 sp ecie s in 10 gene ra have been reported from Ch ina. In th is p ap er, sp ecie s b iodiversity, re sou rce s and geo logical distribu tion of the rattanlike bamboo s were b riefly in troduced and discu ssed.
