通信技术综述(国外英语资料) Communication technology review (2009-12-20 10:59:11) Mobile communication technology has gone through three major stages of development. Every generation of development is the breakthrough of technology and innovation of ideas. The first generation originated in the 1980s, mainly using analog and frequency division multiple access (FDMA) technology. The second generation (2G) originated in the early 1990s, with the use of time division multiple access (TDMA) and code division multiple access (CDMA) technology. The third generation (3 g) mobile communication system can provide a wider band, transport not only voice, also can transmit high speed data, to provide quick and convenient wireless applications. However, the third generation mobile communication system is still based on the ground have different standards of regional communication system, although the transmission rate can be up to 2 Mb/s, but still cant meet the requirements of multimedia communication, therefore, the fourth generation mobile communication system (4 g) research then arises at the historic moment. The concept of 4G communication technology The definition of 4G has yet to be defined, and its technical parameters, international standards, network structures, and even business content are not clearly stated. Wi-fi was seen as 4G technology during the wi-fi boom in late 2002. But advocates of 4G technology say 4G is different from wi-fi. In June 2004, analysts at Forrester, a market-research firm, predicted that the 4G mobile service would be a combination of 3G and WiMax. 4 g will provide Ethernet access (e.g., 10 MB/s), and through the 3 g in a mobile phone and WiMax together, providing integrated wireless LAN and wan service. WiMax (or 802.16) can provide wireless broadband service, which can be as far as 30 miles, at a rate of about 10 Mb/s.
