  A New Three Dimensional Co(II) and Na(I) Heterometallic-organic Framework Prepared from Deep 5 Eutectic Solvent# CHEN Yanfei, LEI Xiaoping, CHEN Shumei** (College of Chemistry Chemical Engineering, Fuzhou University, Fuzhou, Fujian, 350108) Abstract: A new three-dimensional heterometallic-organic framework (HMOF), [Co(bdc)2Na4(e-urea)6] (1) (btc = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate；e-urea = ethyleneurea), has been 10 synthesized by ionothermal method, and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, X-ray powder diffraction, TGA, IR spectrum and elemental analysis. This compound 1 incorporated mixed Co and Na ions and showed three-dimensional framework. Key words: Coordination chemistry; heterometallic-organic frameworks; ionothermal synthesis; deep eutectic solvent 15 0 Introduction Crystal engineering of heterometallic-organic frameworks (HMOFs) is of great current interest not only because of their practical applications in luminescence, magnetism, gas storage, nonlinear optics and heterogeneous catalysis as new materials[1], but also due to their impressive structural diversity in 20 25 architectures, which result from interactions between two distinct metal centers connected by a suitable linker[2-3]. On the other hand, ionic liquids have attracted increasing attention as solvents of choice for chemical synthesis. In the past several years ,the synthetic success using the ionothermal method has opened up a new route for the creation of novel metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) [4]. Especially, Bu and coworkers noticed that deep eutectic solvents (DESs) is powerful for the generation of porous materials with some interesting properties. They have reported a series of metal–organic frameworks synthesized using deep eutectic solvents[5-7].
