I will encourage students to improve their cooperation ability and develop different reading skills. Analysis of the teaching material The topic of Unit 4 is colors and mood. The reading passage is Color Association. It talks about color association, especially differernt meanings of different colors. Red, yellow and blue are particularly mentioned in the text. The text is not difficult for students to understand, however, they must work hard to know something valuable such as the importance of the three primary colors. Analysis of the students Our students have learnt English for years, they already have certain English knowledge, though they still have some difficulties in expressing themselves in English. Whats more, they are interested in new things and have some certain ability of imagination, observation and creation. They are students of English major, and it’s more important for them to grasp different skills in English such as listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. Three dimensional teaching aims 1. Knowledge aims: a.?????? Students learn some new words and useful expressions: particularly, association, shape, object, tie, caution, policeman, opposite, blue-chip, be associated with, warn of, etc. b.
