T he failure cause of the fabroil of the buffer ax ile bush w as investi ated by appearance inspection, fr acture surface observation, pr operties testin and analyzin the built- up structure and force of the fabroil. The re- sults show that the cracks of the fabroil ar e fati ue cracks and the fracture of the fabroil is a result of fati ue crackin . T he main cause of fati ue cracks is that there is a ap caused by transition fit be- tw een the fabroil and the copper bush. After the oil enter s into the ap, the tensile stress on the fab- r oil is far hi her than the desi ned oil pressure and linearly relates to the oil pressure. T he oil pressure ex ceeds the resistance of the fabroil and the fabroil cracks.
