Methods 　Antigen A , B and D were detected by using the microcolumn gel cassette assay , brine method and polybrene method respectively and the intensity of agglutination in these methods were compared and assayed. Results 　The intensity of agglutina tion by using the microcolumn gel cassette assay (4 + ) was 20 % higher than that of brine method and 30 % higher than that of polybrene method. Moreover , the intensity of agglutination of 2 + and 1 + didn’t occur in the microcolumn gel cassette assay. Conclusions 　The microcolumn gel cassette assay has important value in
