Abstract Abstract With the air-raid environment becoming more and more complex, single radar cannot adapt to the demands of aerial defense. The radar networking is becoming an important trend on the development of radar of all countries in the world. This technology can not only increase the accuracy of the target location, but improve the ability of anti-j amming and defending four countermeasures of radar. At the same time, with the help of the infrared, laser and many sensors etc, radars may increase the accuracy of target location and tracking. This paper mainly discusses the radar networking technique for three-dimensional target location in war field, and realizes the display of the target data in the 3-D terrain. Firstly, the paper discusses the target location of two 2-D radars, and analyses the simulation results of location error of various measurement subsets. At the same time, based on the method of correlation of azimuths, a method of correlation of ranges is proposed which can improve the estimation accuracy of height location. The simulation results show that the algorithm is effective for improving the location accuracy. Secondly, the paper adopts the weighed least square iteration algorithm to realize target location in multi-2-D radar networking. This algorithm not only makes full use of the measurements of the radars, but also realizes the three-dimensional target location with fewer calculations.
