　 ·394 · 　Chinese Bulletin of Entomology 2008 45(3) ＊ ＊＊ 谭荣鹤　朱道弘 　阳艳萍 (　　410004) The diapause rate of hybrid offsprings among three geographic populations in a grasshopper, Oxy a chinensis . ＊＊ TAN Rong-He, ZHU Dao-Hong , YANG Yan-Ping (College of Resource and Environment, Central South University of Forestry Technology, Changsha　410004, China) Abstract 　To understand the genetic characteristics of egg diapause in a grasshopper, Oxya chinensis Thunberg, e investigated geographical variation of egg diapause and diapause percentage of hybridoffspringsamong three geographic populationsof the grasshopper species, hich collected from Jining、Sihong and Zhuzhou.The results indicated that eggpods of the Zhuzhou population contained diapause and non-diapause eggs, the diapause rate as only 20%～ 30%, but egg diapause rate ere 100% in the Jining and Sihong populations。These suggested that egg diapause sho s obvious geographic variation in different populations.In reciprocal crossings bet een Jining and Zhuzhou populations or Sihong and Zhuzhou populations, some eggs of offsprings ere non-diapause hich had the same characteristics ith Zhuzhou populations.But no matter Zhuzhou populations acted as maternity or paternity, the diapause rates of offsprings ere higher than Zhuzhou populations hich ere approximately ith the Jining andSihong populations.These results suggested that the diapause occurance controlled by female and male gene, hile the diapause extent is more close to the parent hich has a higher diapause rate.
