In this paper, the theoretical analysis and experimental study of static current balancing and transient current balancing for IGBT paralleling application are presented. Moreover, the current sharing of IGBTs in parallel with thermal imbalance is focused and researched by experiments. An active gate control circuit which is based on adj usting the gate voltages and gate resistances, is proposed and verified by experiments. The application of four IGBTs connected in parallel is implemented based on the research of two parallel-connected IGBTs. The four parallel-connected IGBTs can work at over 2kA, which has been applied in a 3 15kW/380V converter prototype. Keywords ：IGBT parallelin
